Hail to the Quotas?

What will the Supreme Court do? This is a mammoth question that will decide the fate, once and for all hopefully of the reverse discrimination practices in our country. A lot hangs in the balance, for both sides. First we must look at what the University of Michigan (Liberal Haven) does when a student applies to their school. If you are a racial minority you are granted and Extra 20 Points towards admission. If you get a perfect score on your SAT's you get 12 points. So from that the university is saying that your race is more important than your education. Their law school goes one step further to have a quota system to allow a certain percentage of minorities in regardless of their academic records. That's one hell of a system if you ask me. To understand this you must agree that discrimination still exists in every facet of life. You would be kidding yourself if you think it doesn't. But trying to solve discrimination by discriminating is as back asswards as it gets.

Now liberals out there will say that a diverse student body benefits all students and that without a diverse student body the students themselves will not revive a "full" education. Apparently this only applies to majority white colleges. Historically black colleges see it as essential to have an almost entirely black student body so that their students can have the fullest education possible. So liberals like always want it both ways. They see it that if you have a white kid for suburbia that goes to all white schools for Kindergarten through high school that he hasn't received a "full" education because he hasn't been exposed directly to another persons culture. The obviously do not trust students to make decisions for themselves or believe that a person can excel without being exposed to different cultures. Liberal Scum really make me puke

It should be noted that the students in question here that benefit from U of M racist programs are not a bunch of idiots. The average redneck out there likes to say that white kids with a 4.0 average are being left out while some black kid with at 2.5 GPA is taking his place. This is simply not true, all of these students have very similar grades and potential. But to assign extra points simply because of ones race is not fair to either the minority or the majority. How's about the scenario:

Once upon a time there was a young teenage girl who was about to finish her first year of college. She considered herself to be a very liberal Democrat, and her father was a rather staunch Republican.
 
One day she was challenging her father on his beliefs and his opposition to programs like welfare. He stopped her and asked her how she was doing in school. She answered she had a 4.0 GPA, but it was really tough. She had to study all the time, never had time to go out and party, and often went sleepless because all of the studying. She didn't have time for a boyfriend and didn't really have many college friends because of all her studying.
 
He then asked how her friend Mary, who was attending the same college, was doing. She replied she was barely getting by. She had a 2.0 GPA and never studied, was very popular on campus, and was at parties all the time. She often wouldn't show up for classes because she was hung over.
 
He then asked his daughter why she didn't go to the Dean's office and ask why she couldn't take 1.0 off her 4.0 and give it to her friend who only had a 2.0. That way they would both have a 3.0 GPA.
 
She fired back and said, "That wouldn't be fair. I worked really hard for mine, and my friend did nothing." After a moment of silence, she replied, "I guess I'll never vote Democrat again...."
